About Mrs. Herrmann
My family is a blessing to me. I grew up as an only child and longed for a house where there was never a dull moment. Boy, did I get my wish! And I couldn't be happier!
I graduated from St. Augustine Catholic School in Hecker and Gibault Catholic High School in Waterloo. I am very proud to be a product of Catholic education and have always carried that with me. I received my B.S. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from SIUE in December of 1995. Shortly after, I began teaching at Illini Elementary School in Fairview Heights, and taught for 7 years until the arrival of our 3rd child, Reagan. Since then I have been a stay-at-home mom for 13 years. I have been an active parent volunteer at ICS and have coached our school chess team for 6 years.
My husband Matt and I met at Gibault and we've now been married for 20 wonderful years! Together we are raising our four active children, Thomas, Lucas, Reagan, and Avery. The boys are ICS graduates and the girls are still at ICS. They are so excited that I am teaching, especially at ICS. We love to travel, cook, go on adventures, and just spend time together.
I am so proud and grateful to be a teacher at ICS. It is an exceptional school and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of Catholic education because it was such a gift in my life. Ever since I was young I knew I wanted to teach. I feel very blessed to have the best job in the world!
